Clear terms for a read-only finance workspace.
These Terms govern access to North Memory and form an agreement between you and NORTH MEMORY FINANCE LTD..
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By creating an account, accepting these Terms in the sign-up flow, or using North Memory, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 18, have legal capacity to contract, and use the service only in a supported region. Early access is intended for Canada, excluding Quebec, and the United States during early access.
If you use North Memory for another person or entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that person or entity.
2. What North Memory provides
North Memory is a read-only personal financial information, organization, and analysis service. It can display connected data, apply owner-approved rules, calculate summaries, identify possible patterns, and generate AI-assisted explanations.
North Memory is not a bank, money transmitter, brokerage, investment adviser, tax adviser, accountant, credit counselor, fiduciary, or payment initiator.
North Memory cannot trade, withdraw, transfer, send, receive, or otherwise move money or securities. Any action draft, reminder, or bank link is informational and requires you to complete the action directly with the relevant institution.
3. Financial data and AI limitations
- Connected data may be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, unavailable, or incorrectly categorized.
- Currency conversion, cost basis, recurring activity, anomaly indicators, forecasts, and portfolio totals are estimates based on available data.
- AI output may hallucinate, omit facts, misclassify transactions, or misunderstand your intent.
- North Memory does not guarantee savings, returns, fraud detection, future balances, tax results, or recurring-payment forecasts.
- Verify important information with the underlying institution and consult a licensed professional before a major financial, investment, tax, credit, insurance, or legal decision.
North Memory may refuse or limit requests that imply regulated advice, transaction execution, unlawful activity, or unsafe use.
4. Accounts and third-party services
You may connect only accounts you own or are authorized to access. You authorize North Memory and its providers to retrieve and process the information required for the connection you request.
Bank and brokerage credentials and multi-factor authentication codes are entered only in provider-controlled connection flows. North Memory does not receive those credentials.
When you use SnapTrade to connect a brokerage account, SnapTrade's End User Terms and Privacy Policy also apply to SnapTrade's service.
You are responsible for protecting your device, authentication methods, and North Memory account. Notify support promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
North Memory depends on Clerk, Plaid, SnapTrade, connected institutions, Stripe, Anthropic, OpenRouter providers, OpenAI when configured, Neon, and Vercel. Their availability, data, and terms are outside North Memory's complete control. A provider or institution may suspend or revoke access at any time.
5. Plans, renewal, cancellation, and refunds
- Free. Three AI questions per UTC day and one supported bank connection. Core transaction organization, rules, and export remain available.
- Pro monthly. USD $15.99 plus applicable tax each month.
- Pro yearly. USD $100 plus applicable tax each year.
- Automatic renewal. Pro renews and the saved payment method is charged at the selected interval until canceled.
- Cancellation. Use Manage billing to cancel online, including when workspace access is unavailable. If you cannot sign in or use Stripe, send notice through billing support. Standard cancellation stops the next renewal and keeps access through the paid period; this does not limit a right to earlier cancellation under applicable law.
- Refunds. Mandatory consumer rights take priority. Where British Columbia subscription law applies to renewal terms longer than 60 days, you may cancel the renewal before or after it occurs. After renewal, the legally required refund for the unused portion will be issued within 15 days of cancellation and future payments will be stopped. Other statutory cancellation and refund rights also remain available. Outside mandatory rights or an express offer, fees are not refundable for unused time.
- Billing errors. Contact support promptly about an unexpected charge. No 30-day reporting limit in these Terms removes statutory rights or payment-dispute rights.
- Renewal notices. We provide renewal notices and subscription reminders required where you live. For annual renewals, applicable notice windows include 30–60 days in British Columbia and 15–45 days in California. California subscribers also receive an annual reminder with cancellation instructions.
- Price and material changes. Required notices will identify the change, its effective date, and how to cancel before it applies, using the timing and consent requirements of applicable law. Continued use alone does not waive a mandatory consent requirement.
Pro includes 300 AI credits per UTC calendar month and unlimited supported bank connections, subject to short-term technical, safety, and abuse rate limits. Ask North uses one credit, category review uses two, and Money Plan AI uses three. Unused credits do not roll over. Brokerage access remains a provider-dependent beta and is not guaranteed by a paid plan.
The checkout page shows the selected price, currency, billing interval, tax, automatic-renewal terms, and a required Terms checkbox before payment.
You may save or print these Terms. A retainable subscription confirmation must identify the selected offer, renewal terms, cancellation method, and accepted Terms. Contact billing support if your confirmation is missing; mandatory rights arising from a missing contract copy are not waived.
6. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Connect an account without authorization or impersonate another person.
- Attempt to move money, place trades, evade provider controls, or use North Memory for unlawful financial activity.
- Probe, scrape, reverse engineer, overload, disrupt, or bypass security or usage controls except where a non-waivable law expressly permits it.
- Upload malware, infringe rights, or use North Memory to harm another person.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service without written permission.
7. Ownership and feedback
North Memory and its software, design, documentation, and branding are owned by the operator or its licensors. These Terms grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service.
You keep ownership of content you add. You grant North Memory a limited license to host, process, display, and transmit that content only as needed to provide, secure, and improve the service under the Privacy Policy.
If you voluntarily provide feedback, North Memory may use it without restriction or payment, but will not publicly identify you without permission.
8. Suspension, termination, and changes
You may stop using North Memory, disconnect institutions, cancel Pro, or request account deletion. These are separate actions with different effects described in the Privacy Policy.
North Memory may suspend or terminate access for material breach, fraud, security risk, unlawful use, nonpayment, provider requirements, or service discontinuation. When practical, North Memory will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to export information.
Features may change, enter beta, or be discontinued. Material changes to these Terms will be posted with a new effective date, and fresh acceptance will be requested when required.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, North Memory is provided "as is" and "as available" without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or accuracy.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages arising from North Memory or third-party financial data.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, aggregate liability for claims relating to North Memory will not exceed the greater of the fees you paid for North Memory in the 12 months before the claim or USD/CAD $100.
These exclusions and limits do not apply where prohibited by law and do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or other non-waivable consumer rights.
10. Limited indemnity
You will defend and indemnify the operator against third-party claims caused by your unlawful misuse of North Memory, unauthorized connection of another person's account, infringement of another person's rights, or material breach of these Terms.
This obligation does not apply to claims caused by the operator's own fault or your ordinary authorized use.
11. Disputes and governing law
You may contact support to try to resolve a concern informally. This is optional: it is not a condition of making a claim, imposes no waiting period, and does not delay access to courts, regulators, chargebacks, or statutory remedies.
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without overriding mandatory consumer or privacy protections where you live.
Disputes will be brought in the courts with lawful jurisdiction over the operator and the consumer. These Terms do not impose a pre-dispute arbitration requirement or class-action waiver on Canadian consumers and preserve small-claims and non-waivable statutory remedies.
12. Contact
Questions about these Terms, account access, billing, or the service can be sent through the Contact page.
